Some Words from Chef Matt Richardson:
Matt's Food Philosophy. A Dalai Lama once said, "Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon." There is a reason cooking or the anticipation of a good meal is so often paired with the most visceral human emotions or feelings like love, lust, longing, satisfaction. I believe food should be thought of as more than just nourishment or fuel for the body. Food, cooking, eating, there is a passion there that we can all share. Sitting down with friends or family for a meal is one of life's greatest joys and in a world so unfair with a future so unsure these joys should be considered sacred. Ingredients should be respected and the process revered. I don't know if you can taste the love in my dishes but you certainly can taste the passion and respect given to each ingredient and the time taken to prepare each piece. Good food, like love, is something we inherently seek. It brings us together, it makes us happy, it gives life meaning.
